SIGSAM has a history of sponsoring conferences or special sessions. For examples, SIGSAM frequently sponsors the International Symposium on Symbolic and Algebraic Computation (ISSAC). In addition, some conferences such as East Coast Algebra Days (ECCAD), the International Workshop on Symbolic-Numeric Computation (SNC), and the International Workshop on Parallel Symbolic Computation (PASCO) have been conducted in cooperation with SIGSAM.

We encourage conference organizers to submit requests for SIGSAM sponsorship or in cooperation with status to the SIGSAM chair before the first call for papers is possible. Doing so may help increase number of papers submitted to the conference because many researchers use information on sponsorship and publication of proceedings to decide whether or not to submit a paper to a conference.
